Anne Penman Sweet
An excellent artist I discovered in Sheffield is Anne Penman Sweet, who lives and works in London, UK. The work that I saw in Cupola Gallery were all small landscapes like the one pictured below. In person there is a luminous quality about them. Like me she uses a translucent movement of paint on a slippery surface omitting white from her palette.
